Since 2001, R. Amir Norris B.Sc., has helped
over 800 adults and children with fatigue disorders, ranging from those
severely affected with M.E. and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to the mildest
forms of Post-Viral Fatigue. He also works regularly with people with
Fibromyalgia and Adrenal Fatigue.
He is one of the best known and widely
respected leaders in the chronic fatigue field and is transforming the
way the world views ME/CFS.
Amir first began working in the Stress
Management field back in 1991. Later he trained in Person-Centred
Counselling and then trained for two years at the European College of
Holistic Medicine, before becoming an Advanced Practitioner
specialising in fatigue conditions.
Amir is one of only a handful of
professionals in the world to have pioneered a successful way of
working with chronic fatigue conditions, as well as having experienced
ME/CFS directly himself during 1986 - 96, so he knows the condition
inside-out.
Amir has spent thousands of hours training
people from all over the world, both individually and in seminars. He
has also been a mentor to many student practitioners who have sat in on
his client trainings and courses. Over a dozen people who got well
after attending his course went onto be therapists in this field.
In 2000, he received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Educational Multimedia from the University of Wales,
knowledge he now uses to create powerfully engaging seminars that
accelerate learning for those attending his course.
In 2008, Amir started an outreach project
using Skype to help people in other countries. The success has grown
into a worldwide online clinic that anyone can now access from anywhere.
Amir has been a keynote conference speaker
on ME/CFS in Wales' Capital and has published numerous articles and
reports on fatigue conditions, including authoring audio, video and
CD-ROM titles.
Amir was one of the professionals
interviewed in a recent Norwegian documentary film on ME/CFS, after the
film makers' daughter recovered by attending his course in Wales. His
clients have also been interviewed on BBC radio 2, as well as featuring
in local and national newspapers including the Daily Mail.
