2 Weeks after the Energy Excellence
Course:
Hi Amir
Things are going really well for me since the Energy
Excellence Course. I have made some very positive
changes which I believe will stop me from taking
on too much.
After the course I spoke to my doctor and we agreed
that it was a good idea for me to take 2 weeks off
on "anxiety rehab". This not only gave
me the time to practice the process but it also
gave me time to enjoy the new me.
Since the course I have done many things that I
was not able to do before hand. I went to Thorpe
park with my closest friends, something that I would
never have been able to do, joined a local football
team and have been socialising more than ever, my
friends and girlfriend can't believe the change.
My poor girlfriend keeps coming home from work expecting
to see me on the sofa and spend some time with me,
only to find that I have gone to see some friends
or family.
On the plus side for my girlfriend, I have been
waking early to tidy the house and cooking meals
for her when I am at home. I am loving the creativity
of cooking and its been giving me lots of frontal-lobe
activity.
I haven't had to use the process much over the past
2 weeks but I think that this is because I have
been enjoying a care free life. However I have been
using the diaphragmatic breathing which has been
keeping me much calmer and has helped to stop the
IBS symptoms.
Today has been the biggest test for me, it is my
first day back to work. I had to use the process
a lot before hand, but I am coping well. I think
that work was a massive part of my previous illness
and I am looking to change careers as this one is
not suited to my caring nature.
As you know, before I came to see you, as well as
the ME/CFS I also suffered with panic attacks around
flying and the last time I went on holiday I had
to cancel my flight home and had to spend a grueling
journey home by coach. Well the good news is, because
of addressing this issue with the tools learned
on the course, I have changed the arrangements of
my next ski holiday and I am now flying instead
of going by coach, the thought of this does not
bring up the previous emotions that it used too.
The most helpful change is that I am now feeling
refreshed when I wake up each morning, even if I
have done exercise the day before, this feels amazing,
as exercise has always been one of the most important
parts of my life
I'm sorry to waffle on for so long, but I am so
excited about the future I cannot help it.
Thank you so much for giving my life back to me!
Mike

Update 6 Weeks after the Energy
Excellence Course:
Hi Amir
Things are still going very well. I have just got
back from the Ski Holiday. You will be pleased to
know that I managed to get on the plane.
There
was still a bit of fight or flight involved but
it was much better than my previous flight. Once
we were in the air I managed to settle and was taking
photos from the window (see photo) and managed to
eat my breakfast.
This was a massive achievement as
last time I was scared stiff and could not move
my fork to my mouth.
The ski holiday itself was very good, I managed
to ski everyday and had a few late nights. I'm suffering
a little bit now, but I know that this is completely
normal from such an energetic holiday and that my
fitness wasn't up to scratch. It was also alot to
do with drinking too much in the evenings. It was
amazing being able to ski hard for 5 hours and still
have the energy to be social in the evenings.
I have realised since the course
that the main problem definitely lies with my job.
I have made the decision to look into doing a degree
in physical education which will lead to qualified
teacher status. This is something that would have
seemed impossible before the Energy Excellence Course,
but now it doesn't worry me at all.
I have been so happy with the results,
that I have been trying to raise the awareness of
the course. I recently got a small article into
of our local newspapers about the course. The link
to the article is below:

I am also hoping that I can set up a local support
group at my leisure centre, so that I can let others
know that there is help out there.
Once again, thank you for giving me the tools to
regain my life.
