out of another session with my psychologist and I just knew it was
going no where. After dropping half my GCSE's, stopping all sport and
not being well enough to enjoy life to the full; she was telling me to
increase my activity through CBT. I was no where near ready to start
doing more; in fact I was getting worse and worse. Well, that wasn't
for me and I knew it wasn't going to get me better. So that was when we
decided to see Amir Norris.
I was a little sceptical at first, but I was willing to keep an open
mind and to do everything that Amir advised. Before my first session I
had to be pushed to the beach in my wheelchair, and then taken back to
the hotel. After my first session I was feeling so much more positive
and the next day we walked a mile on the beach. It was unbelievable.
Now I am nearly better, still
working on my fitness and stamina. Playing the sports that I love again
makes me feel so grateful and happy as I was beginning to wonder if I
was going to play them again.
When I was ill, 3 hours of
school on a good day was all I could manage. The rest consisted of bed,
sofa and TV. Now I can finally turn the TV off and get out there! After
my 3 hours of school, I play table tennis or squash for up to an hour,
do homework and meet my friends. The contrast is amazing. I'm rarely in

person now and soo determined to achieve all my goals in life,
including playing squash for England. I look to enjoy every day as I
had one and a half years wash by me, without noticing what was around
