Coming out of another session with my psychologist and I just knew it was going no where. After dropping half my GCSE's, stopping all sport and not being well enough to enjoy life to the full; she was telling me to increase my activity through CBT. I was no where near ready to start doing more; in fact I was getting worse and worse. Well, that wasn't for me and I knew it wasn't going to get me better. So that was when we decided to see Amir Norris.

Admittedly, I was a little sceptical at first, but I was willing to keep an open mind and to do everything that Amir advised. Before my first session I had to be pushed to the beach in my wheelchair, and then taken back to the hotel. After my first session I was feeling so much more positive and the next day we walked a mile on the beach. It was unbelievable.

Now I am nearly better, still working on my fitness and stamina. Playing the sports that I love again makes me feel so grateful and happy as I was beginning to wonder if I was going to play them again.

When I was ill, 3 hours of school on a good day was all I could manage. The rest consisted of bed, sofa and TV. Now I can finally turn the TV off and get out there! After my 3 hours of school, I play table tennis or squash for up to an hour, do homework and meet my friends. The contrast is amazing. I'm rarely in now!

I am an even more positive person now and soo determined to achieve all my goals in life, including playing squash for England. I look to enjoy every day as I had one and a half years wash by me, without noticing what was around me. So, if you are considering seeing Amir, then please go for it.
